Migrating to Secure Access not only keeps school staff and student data better protected and limits the potential impact of cyber attacks, but it also changes the daily operation of the school’s network, and the way devices connect to the school’s network. Simplified login process
Once a user has logged in for the first time using their Google or Microsoft 365 username and password, their device becomes known to the assigned network, and they won’t need to do this again. The network will remember their device based on their user profile and automatically assign them to the correct network based on their role which is synchronised between the school’s user directory and the Secure Access system.
Ease of offboarding
Management of users on the school’s network is streamlined due to user tagging in the school’s directory. When a user leaves, they are automatically removed from the network, meaning fewer manual tasks for the school’s IT personnel to offboard users, whilst maintaining the security of the school’s digital environment.
